Loschetter Wins Kuwait International Open

Lumber Liquidators PBA Tour competitor Chris Loschetter defeated Norway’s Tore Torgersen, 255-186, to win the $25,000 first prize in the Kuwait International Open at Cozmo Bowl in Kuwait City, Kuwait, Tuesday. 

Loschetter was the top qualifier for the stepladder finals. Finland’s Osku Palermaa, who won the GEICO Shark Championship earlier in the season to lock up an exemption for the 2011-12 PBA Tour campaign, finished fifth. 

Exempt Tour players Sean Rash of Montgomery, IL, finished sixth; Jason Belmonte of Australia finished eighth; Stuart Williams of England finished 10th and Ronnie Russell of Marion, IN, finished 17th. 

The Kuwait Open was the fifth of seven events on the new World Bowling Tour schedule. The final two events will be held in Bangkok, Thailand, Sept. 24-30, and in Sydney, Australia, Oct. 10-22.
